What a week it’s been. I had a great time in Chicago connecting with other adoptees, and getting a glimpse of adoptee research that is happening across the country.
A few things that I did want to comment on briefly. First, I’m sure many of you have seen the recent racist t-shirt that has been circulating on Angry Asian Man from last week’s Cubs game. If you haven’t seen it, please go to Angry Asian Man to take a look at the shirt, and to read the article. http://www.angryasianman.com
I also wanted to give a shout out to a few adoptee poets who are worthy of checking out if you haven’t yet. Lee Herrick, Bryan Thao Worra, Jennifer Kwon Dobbs, Nicole Schildkraut. It was wonderful meeting and seeing you all (if you’re reading this). A few of them have blogs: Lee’s Blog, Jennifer’s Blog .
Their work is so amazing, I hope you check out their websites, and purchase their books.
