National Asian American Radio Program

27 09 2007

Hi all,

Sorry I haven’t posted in quite a while, but I’ve been busy working on another project which will be released (hopefully) in the next month.

I have been working on a pilot for the first National Asian American Radio program.  The show is called ‘As I Am:  Asians in America.’  The program is about an hour, and will feature many famous Asian American writers, performers, commentators etc.

It’s an exciting project, and it will be distributed to PRX (Public Radio Exchange) where stations will pick up the program and air it across the U.S.  So unfortunately there is not really a list of stations that air the program, but I’ll be sure to let you all know as soon as we’ve hit the air with it.

With the pilot we’re hoping to generate station interest and a general momentum of people requesting that their local stations take up the program and demand that Asian American radio programming is important and needed.

If you’d like to hear a taste of one particular segment that is on our program, which was re-released and aired on NPR’s Weekend America check out this link:  Angela Kim

As soon as the program is released I hope you’ll make a call to your local radio station and request that they pick up As I Am.  If you have any more questions about the program please email me at gangshik.kadnexus@gmail.com
